Chuck Bortnick, Regional Vice President-Northeast

Chuck Bortnick joined Cumulus in March of 2010. In addition to the Hudson Valley, Chuck’s regional responsibilities include Bridgeport, Westchester and Danbury. He is the former COO of Westwood One and President of Metro Networks. Chuck began his career in Miami radio sales and then moved into sales/station management. In addition to South Florida, Chuck’s experience includes radio station management roles in Houston and Cleveland before moving to network radio management with Metro Networks and then Westwood One. He moved back to the station side as VP/GM of WFAN in NY. Most recently, prior to Cumulus, Chuck was the Executive Vice President of the JACKfm radio brand for SparkNet Communications.



Aaron Hyland, Market Manager

Aaron Hyland has been in the Radio Broadcast Industry for 10+ years. Most recently he was in the Ft. Walton Beach, FL Market as the Market Manager. Over those 10+ years, Aaron has held escalating levels of responsibility including Director of Sales, General Sales Manager, National Sales Manager, Local Sales Manager and Account Executive.    He is extremely excited about joining the highly talented Cumulus Poughkeepsie team. 

  
Kevin Garrity, Regional National Sales Manager

Kevin Garrity, our Regional National Sales Manager joined Cumulus Media in January of 2010. Kevin began his radio Sales & Marketing career selling locally on the streets of Westchester and the surrounding Tri-State area for WABC-AM. From local sales, he moved to  National Sales  joining Interep, the Nation's largest Independent Radio Sales & Marketing Company in the United States. At Interep, Kevin had the opportunity to sell some of the country's most legendary Radio Stations for  Group W, CBS and most recently Disney/ABC/ESPN while moving up the ranks from AE to eventually President of ABC Radio Sales.  Kevin is passionate about developing creative, solution-oriented, client-focused Audio and Digital Marketing campaigns designed to lift and separate clients from their competition. A Westchester resident for over 20 years, Kevin now resides in Cortlandt Manor with his wife and two children.

  
Mary Ridings, Local Sales Manager

Mary has an extensive backing in local media sales including 18 years with this cluster of stations.  She also served 6 years on the Board of directors for the Orange County Chamber of Commerce and currently sits on the Board of the Greater Southern Dutchess Chamber of Commerce.  She has also taught at SUNY-Orange through their Institute for Non Profit Leadership and Management. 

  
Victor Goodman, Sales Representative

Victor Goodman has worked for major advertising agencies and was the head of media departments in New York and Internationally.  For longer than he likes to omit he has been working for the Cumulus Group of stations, handling agencies, show promoters and various local accounts..

  

Kristyn Ross, Sales Representative

Kristyn joined the Cumulus Sales team in 2009 with almost 10 years experience in Marketing and Public Relations. She enjoys meeting and working with new people. Over the last 2 years with Cumulus she has worked with numerous local companies to grow they’re businesses. She believes in keeping business local to grow local. Kristyn loves new ideas, getting to know her clients, and helping them to develop custom campaigns. She is a natural team player and has the ability to cultivate strong partnerships with clients to create successful campaigns. 

  
Rob Brown, Sales Representative

For over fifteen years, Rob Brown has been helping business grow and develop here in the Hudson Valley with customized and targeted radio campaigns.  He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy Submarine Force, a graduate of Leadership Dutchess and a Radio Advertising Bureau Certified Radio Marketing Consultant.  A passionate baseball and football fan he spends as much free time as possible on the golf course.  A native of Westchester County, Rob currently resides in Hopewell Junction with his family.


  
Steve Geraci, Sales Representative

Steve, a husband and a father of two teenage girls, has been in the radio sales industry since 1998.  Steve has always had a passion for music.  He even plays guitar and sings in a working band for recreation and inspiration. Steve loves selling radio as it enables him to meet new and interesting people, solve problems and develop creative marketing plans for clients each and every week.  As a resident of Wappinger Falls, Steve combines local knowledge with his experience to create successful marketing plans for clients.

  
David Weiss, Sales Representative

David Weiss has been with the Hudson Valley Cluster of Cumulus Broadcasting for nine years.   Prior to his radio career, Dave owned Men's Clothing Stores throughout the Mid-Hudson Valley.  After 30 years in the clothing business, Dave felt it was time to switch careers. Since Radio had always been his main focus of my advertising dollars and worked the best for him, it was an easy choice -- Dave needed to believe in what he was selling and he certainly believes in the Power of Radio Advertising. One of Dave strongest traits is that he can really relate to his clients because he sat in their seat for 30 years. 

  
Shirley Stone, Sales Representative

Shirley has over 20 years in the New York advertising industry. She has worked for ad agency media departments and started her sales career in magazines - Redbook and Cosmopolitan. In the early 1980's she switched from magazines to the just emerging cable TV industry and was a member of the first MTV sales team. From there she moved on to working for Ted Turner at CNN and then was the first New York Director of Sales for The Discovery Channel where she managed a team of account executives and sales support people. Disillusioned with the corporate environment she started a media consulting business and worked on the launch of The Food Network, several Internet companies and By Kids For Kids, a kids innovation company.  Realizing how much she missed broadcasting, she has joined Cumulus.  

She holds both a BBA and MBA in marketing, is a graduate of the Communispond Public Speaking Course and is a certified Empowerment Life Coach.  She lives in Rhinebeck with her daughter.

 
Alex Labrinos, Sales Representative

Alex Labrinos received his Bachelors Degree in Communication from the University at Albany in 2008. Immediately followed by his Master's Degree in Marketing and Corporate Communication in 2010. A life long resident of Dutchess County, Alex is excited to use his marketing expertise to help grow local business. Alex looks forward to a long successful career with his local Cumulus team and the company as a whole. In his free time Alex trains and teaches Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He is also involved in Mauy Thai and Boxing.

  
Heather Ligotino, Sales Representative

Heather happily brings nine years of experience in the field of education to Cumulus Broadcasting. As an educator, her main focus was to get students involved in community service, and as a result has developed a connection with the local businesses and communities here in the Hudson Valley. As a longtime resident of Poughkeepsie, she is excited to help the local businesses she has grown up with, along with new businesses, grow. She looks forward to applying her communication skills and creativity to the radio industry.

  

Chris Hackenbrock, Sales Representative

Chris started his broadcasting career in 1981 as an Account Executive at one of the Hudson Valley’s 50,000 watt radio stations, and has since held positions as Senior Account Executive, Advertising Sales Manager, Managing Partner, Owner, General Sales Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing for medium to large companies in New York and Connecticut. In 2005 he took a “broadcasting break” and became a real estate broker in the Rhinebeck, NY area, where he lives with his family. He has 30+ years of experience in radio and TV as a seller, buyer and planner, has written marketing communications programs for clients in Russia, Vietnam and China, and is happy to bring this level of skills back to advertisers and marketers throughout the Mid-Hudson Valley.

 

  

CJ Spencer, Sales Representative

CJ Spencer earned his Bachelors degree in Marketing from Siena College in 2006. He immediately put his marketing degree to work when he joined the Cumulus Sales team in 2006. CJ can relate to local businesses in the area, since he was born and raised in the Hudson Valley. He is extremely passionate about educating his clients on the keys to effective advertising. CJ utilizes these principles to develop creative advertising plans in order to increase market share for his clients, even in a down economy.

 

  

Bob Larsen, Sales Representative

Bob Larsen spent 9 years combining his extensive finance and media experience to present value added transactions to senior management at Fortune 500 & 1000 companies allowing them to mitigate financial risk in regards to problematic assets including inventory, real estate and capital equipment. He purchased such problematic assets from companies at above current market value in exchange for their commitment to spend a portion of their annual advertising budget through his company. He uses that experience now to introduce local business owners to the power of radio. Bob believes vitally all local business types can profitably grow by tapping into the large Hudson Valley audiences who have massive spending power. He utilizes radio's unique ability to reach lots of people consistently to effectively help local business owners build strong brand awareness affordably. This awareness enables his clients to be 'known before needed' by their local audiences which creates a competitive advantage that leads to long term growth and profitability.
